She has ear infection!

I was so scared when last Tuesday morning, Andi was running a fever of 102.8. It was her first time to have high fever. Even Gabz seldom got a fever as high as this. Just imagine how freaked out I was. I immediately called her pediatrician and asked if we could come in on that day. Good thing they accommodated us. Found out that Andi has an ear infection, she had runny nose and a little cough for almost a week now. That might have caused the infection. She don't pull her ear or something, that is why I did not have any clue that she was having an ear infection. Ear infection is very common to baby's and children, and usually just go away on it's own. But the question is; is it just an ear infection or there is something more going on with her?

A Tree within a Tree

We were so amazed by this tree. We got this picture when we went hiking one weekend. They have cut down this huge tree and yet another life sprung from within the tree itself. Isn't that amazing? Life has it's own way, no matter how you stop it, if it is meant to be there, then it will be there. It grows not on the side but in the middle of the body of the tree. Wonders...wonders...

Unexpected Blessing

I had posted a few weeks ago that my father in law was rushed to the emergency room because of mild stroke. He stayed at the hospital for 24 hours without insurance. I think all of us knows how expensive it is here in the US to be hospitalized without insurance. At first, we did not worry so much because our main concern is for my father in law's recovery. Now he is ok and they were able to went back home in Philippines.

After a month the bills came, and I am telling you it is a lot of money!! During his stay at the hospital, we applied for a financial assistance at the hospital since they offered one for those people who could not afford or those who does not have insurance like my father in law. We waited for a month and when the letter came, it was denied and was asking us more supporting documents. I tried to get those documents but to no avail. I came back at the hospital and explain the situation and asked them to reconsider. After a couple of weeks of waiting again, we finally received another letter from them. And guess what? they approved our application and approved the full amount of my father in laws hospital bill !!! It means that we are not paying a single cent !!! We just have to pay the doctors fee and other fees that is not covered by the hospital !! We are not expecting them to approved the whole amount, we were expecting at least 50% only...but GOD is so good that they approved the whole amount. I was crying with so much joy, was so touch how GOD granted our prayers. I just want to share to all this unexpected blessing that we received. GOD is so good to those people who asked for help and who trust in Him.

Have you ever watch a Rodeo?

Have you ever watched a Rodeo? We had lived in Texas for almost two years, but never got a chance to watched Rodeo. I always wanted to watched a real Rodeo (which I usually read in pocket books), but seeing a real cowboy is the closer I got when we were in Texas. Texas is very famous with Cowboys, Horses, Big Ranches, Rodeo, Bull Riding and the likes.

But what is a Rodeo? It is a sporting event where contestants show their skills in riding horses, bull riding, roping a cattle and any other ranching activities. But I wanted to watch the real bull riding event. We always saw a cowboy sitting on top of the raging bull trying to hold on for how long as he can! I just can't imagine the excitement if you are watching it in front of you. Especially if you have the action seats, which are along both sides of the rodeo ring.

Interested now to watch a Rodeo event, try to grab a Houston Rodeo Tickets and have the action seats to get the most of your rodeo experience.
