Beautiful San Francisco - Part Two

We were dead on our feet after a full day of site seeing and walking. A full good night sleep was not enough to get rid of all the exhaustion of the previous day, but no matter the quest is still on !

Our first agenda of the day is Lombard Street, where the famous crooked street were. We drove through it and park on the street below to have some pictures taken. The view on top of the street overlooking the bay is marvelous, breathtaking !

It was almost lunch time, since we started quite late in the morning, so we decided to proceed to Pier 39. For me this is one of the best places in San Francisco (of course compared only to the places we've been). Plenty of shops, restaurants, view of the bay, view of the famous Alcatraz and hundreds of amazing Sea Lions playing and sun bathing at the dock.

They even have Aquariums, street performers, kayak, saddle and bike rentals. If you have plenty of time you could make the tour of the marina on board the ferry. Or ride on a trolley and enjoy the guided tour to see the city. And there is a ferry that make the tour in the famous Alcatraz. This place has tremendous activities to offer to all visitors.

Next stop is the illustrious Golden Gate, considered as the most beautiful bridge around the world. This suspended artistic piece of art is 1.7 mile long, and could be crossed by car, on foot or by bicycle. My husband was so ecstatic to cross the bridge on foot since it is one of his biggest dream ever. Unfortunately, 1.7 mile long with the gusting wind is too much to bear. He has no choice but to go back from the middle of the bridge since we are still waiting at the other end freezing our butt in the cold. Oh well, at least he has achieved half of his dreams !
Since we still have plenty of time before heading to the airport, we decided to drop by at Alamo Square to see the Painted Ladies. This is the row of six architecturally distinctive Victorian style houses. I have been asking my husband why it was called the "Painted Ladies". And a little search with Google came out this ; " Painted Ladies is a term used for Victorian and Edwardian houses and buildings painted in three or more colors that embellish or enhance their architectural details. " Gabz is so gracious to have her picture taken in this beautiful place. As long as she could play at the playground nearby.

The playground that ended our exigent but memorable visit to this magnificent city. The four days stay is worth a lifetime of good memories.

We still miss a lot of things though. This wonderful city has so much to offer to all visitors and locals alike. Maybe, who knows on our next visit we could spare some time to explore them.

Want the best value for your money ?

Are you the type of person who loves to talk to friends and family back home ? Have been searching and looking for the best Phone Cards that could help you save and have the best value for your money ? There are tremendous type of call cards out there that could be purchased in any convenient or grocery stores. Different Prepaid Phone Card websites that you would not know which one is legitimate and which one is a scam.

Like most people, me and my family love to call home every now and then. Unlike many we only used one Calling Cards for many years now. It is because it never give us any reason to switch to another. Their website is accessible all the time and the variations and selections of Calling Cards to different countries are massive. They have call cards that offers discounts up to 20% and programs that you could not find in any other call card companies. What I love about this website is that in every 100 dollar you purchased you earned 5 points which you could used to purchased any card you want. Frequent buyer program gives value to your money. You even earn points by referring a friend !

Don't be a victim of other Calling Cards that are cheap, but the moment you started using it your allotted minutes runs out so fast. Sometimes you could only used it once ! Not to mention difficult access codes and disgruntled connection.

Be practical and wise, use only the one you trust and gives value to your money.

It's a Girl !

Yesterday we had an ultrasound to determine the gender of our second baby. While waiting for the doctor to set the system, the doctor was asking Gabz if she wants to have a baby brother or sister. She said she wants to have a sister ! So, while the doctor was checking the other parts of the baby's body, she keeps on telling her Dad that it should be a girl. Her Dad asked her if they could have a boy instead as he wants to have a boy because he already have a baby girl. It was so funny because, she argued strongly to her Dad that it is a girl. I think she has a very strong instinct that it would be a girl, and she is right !

Our new baby is a girl ! The doctor even printed out her bottom portion that shows it is a girl.

Most important is, the doctor found everything looks great and healthy. I just hope that she would be when its time to come out. We are so happy and feel so blessed to have another girl ! Now I will have two beautiful daughters ! Can't wait to see her. We are still working on her name though, as we have prepared a name for a boy.

Beautiful San Francisco - Part one

I have mentioned on my last post that we went to San Francisco last Easter Sunday and stayed there for four days, business and pleasure. We have been planning to visit San Francisco this summer, but then due to my pregnancy we decided to make the trip earlier.

So, San Francisco here we come !!! We stayed at downtown Hilton Hotel since it is just a stones throw away from the Embassy and other shops, in short quite convenient.

First thing we did after we are done with our business agenda was to ride the famous Cable Car. The procession was quite long, but they always said that you did not go to San Francisco unless you ride the Cable Car ! It was appealing for us adult to experienced it, but not for Gabz I guessed, because she fall asleep while riding. Poor kid :-(
We visited Grace Cathedral too, along Leavenworth and Taylor Street. The architecture outside is superb. This is one of the most memorable place we have visited, because the moment we step outside of this place, we received a blessing !
After a long day of walking and site seeing, we need to replenish our lost energies. A good Filipino restaurant is worth the trip. We ate at Toppings Restaurant at Daily City together with Eric and Maricel's family (who happened to be in SF too) and bought siopao to go.

Whats the best way to end the day than having your stomach full ? Went back at the hotel for a goodnight sleep, getting ready for another day of fun and adventure.

First Easter Egg Hunt - super late.....

I feel weird after a week of not blogging or rather not touching my computer at all ! Gosh, it's the first time this ever happened in my entire life !

Well, we went to San Francisco for four day, and I miss all the fun in bloggosphere ! But I'm Back ! i will tell you all about our trip on the day after tomorrow as I still have a lot (I mean a lot !) of things to do.

For now, Gabby's first egg hunt (sort of). Thanks to Eric and Cecille's family for organizing this little activity for the kids, no matter how simple it is.

We have dinner at their place in San Francisco last Easter Sunday and they organized a small egg hunt for the kids. It's Gabz first egg hunt ever, I don't know what happened on the last few years why she was not able to do it. Anyhow, here they go......looking for those colorful eggs hidden everywhere inside the house. I was asking Gabz if she found the chicken though ?

At least they have fun hunting for the eggs. The eggs has coins inside, the other twins I think it was Danica (until now I can't tell them apart, duh ?) removed all the coins and just gather all the eggs. Eggs are more fun than money, right ? that is why it's egg hunting :-)

Time for reflection

Jesus Washes His Disciple's Feet

Foot washing is an act of humility and is commonly the work of a servant or slave. Jesus thus show us the meaning of self humiliation and self giving by washing his disciple's feet.

May this Lenten season reminds us how Jesus sacrificed His life for our sins.

One Sunny Day @ the Park

We have been waiting for the sun to come up and have the weekend spent at the Lake. Yesterday, we were surprised that the temperature goes 70 ! Horaay !!!! Time to enjoy sunshine at the Lake. We went to New Castle Beach Park at exit 9 along highway 405. We brought Gabz bike, it's her first time to ride her bike at the park since we bought it last year. She was having a good time though, because lots of kids are outside with their bikes. The moment she learns that we are heading at the park, she could not stay put. So busy gathering her stuff, bike, beach toys, towel, swim suit, etc. We have to convinced her that its not yet time to take a swim since the water is still freezing. Yet I brought towel in case some kids will take the plunge, and could not stop Gabz to do the same.

Good thing about the Beach Park, is that they do have play area for kids. Gabz loves the swing and was screaming to her Dad to push her higher !!

The most awaited part, is playing at the sand. Building sand castle, digging and fetching water at the lake was the highlight of her fun time at the Lake. No matter how hot the sun was, she just don't really care.
She was trying to fetch water to put in our castle. The sun was so warm, yet the wind was cooling it down. So the temperature was really nice. It would be a shame if you would let it pass. Here in Bellevue this kind of weather is so precious not to do something outside.

See the beauty of nature in this magnificent place. Could not wait for summer to come, more places to explore. I just hope I could still cope up while my belly growing fast. My husband has plenty of plans for the summer. Oh well, I just have to plan one day at a time for now. It's wait and see for me.

This is our days work ! a sand castle ? or not :-( At least Gabz had fun no matter what it looks like. That's the most important thing for us. She doesn't want to go home though, I was so tired after a few hours under the sun and needs to lie down. We have to promised her that we will come back as soon as the weather is good.

With her it's just a matter of explaining and every thing will be ok.

It's Spring...It's Spring !!!

Gabz always asked me, "Mommy could we take a look at spring ?" as if spring is a thing. So every time she would asked me that, I asked her to take a look at the blooming flowers, the leaves that sprout in the trees ! Each time she would see that the sun is up, she would tell me, "Mommy, lets take a walk, it's spring !" She loves outdoor so much, taking a walk, playing in the park no matter what the weather is.

Today, for the first time this year the sun is up and the temperature is 56 ! This is fantastic already if you are living here in Bellevue. My husband has been planning a trip to Lake Diablo tomorrow, but I am having second thoughts because it's three hours drive and the weather there is still in the 30's.

I think a nice walk in the lake today will do. The beginning of our first visit this spring and for summer to come.

I hope everyone will enjoy sunshine !!!
