I got a new phone !

Recently, my husband gave me a new Google phone as replacement to my old phone. I was really excited as I was not expecting him to buy one for me. Since this phone is brand new, I wanted to buy a cell phone case to protect it from scratches. I have this habit of putting everything in my bag every time I go out. I just throw in my make up, car keys, pens, phones, Gabz snacks and other stuff into my bag. A cell phone case this time is a must !

My old phone has so many scratches in the screen and on the side because Gabz has dropped it so many times. She wants to borrow my phone always, because she saw me playing Solitaire on it, so she wanted to do the same. As if she knows how to play?

Weekend @ Lake Chelan

Last Fathers Day weekend we went to Lake Chelan with friends. It was a three hour and a half drive from Seattle. We left Friday morning and pass through Leavenworth for Lunch. They say that Leavenworth is magnificent during winter for its winter activities. They call this place "Little Germany" all shops are written in English and German, and the architectural designs are German too. Have no idea though why they call it Little Germany. I still need to make a research about it. From there it was only an hour drive to Lake Chelan. We rented two units of townhouse (we are 27 all in all, including kids) three days and two nights.

A snapshot of the Lake in the middle of the dessert ! It is amazing that the place looks like a dessert and yet there is a beautiful lake in the middle of it.

Of course part of Filipino gathering, we cooked plenty of food for non stop eating. Saturday, we went to the park and rented a boat for site seeing. Below are the ladies in the park waiting for their husband to arrive while watching the kids play at the lake. Do you know that there are three of us pregnant women in the group whose due date are a week apart ?

My husband driving the speed boat while we traverse the vicinity of the lake. The feeling is awe-inspiring the moment you step in the boat. You feel soooo rich LOL ! It was my first time to ride the speed boat, so pardon my over excitement.

Unfortunately, while me and my husband was enjoying the tour, our bone tired daughter was fast asleep in the middle of the park.

We went back to Wapato place for dinner, karaoke, chikahan and lots of drinking. For us preggies, whole day of activities sent us to bed early. The rest of the gang stay up till two in the morning.

Time to Shop!

I have been planning to go shopping as early as now for baby essential before my due date. You know how difficult it is walking around the mall with bulging belly and walking like a penguin. Not only that, it would be exhausting too ! I know that one of these days, I have to convince hubby to go with me so I could focus shopping for those cute little outfits while he watch Gabz for me.

I realized that some of that baby stuff that I need could be purchase online. Like Baby Bedding, cribs, winter accessories (since I will gave birth on fall) and other stuff that I could find. There is one website that sells adorable handmade Baby Bedding Sets, and they are on sale! These baby bedding sets consist of ; Baby Crib Quilt, Bumper, Fitted Sheet, Crib Skirt, window valances, diaper stacker, toy organizer and a decorative pillow. Twelve pieces for one price, isn't that great ?

I love the green bedding set that has dragonfly on it. Since Gabz grew up in pink and later on change her color preference to purple, I was thinking of designing the nursery into light green. Light green makes you feel relax and comfortable, so I was thinking it could sooth the baby.

Right now, I am making an inventory of what I have and the things that I still need. I still need a lot! My mother in law sent me some new born baby clothes, booties, mittens and burping cloths. I just need to buy one piece suite, pairs of clothes, pajamas, bottles, and other accessories. You know that this list will just go on once your inside the store.

She could write her name !!

Look at that ! My little girl could write her name :-) It's the first time that I taught her how to write. I started with letter A, as everybody do, but she keep on asking me that she wants to write her name. What I did was to write her name (the one on top) and asked her to write each letter accordingly. And guess what ? she did it !

A bit crooked but not bad for the first timer. At first she could not finnished it, but I asked her to try one more time. Look at the bottom, she finally did her whole name. She is only 3 1/2. I am a very proud Mom !

She loves story books too, the whole day she would bring her story book wherever she go....even though she could not read yet, she loves to look at the pictures and pretend that she could read. Sometime I would laugh at the stories that she made up based on the pictures that she saw on the book.

Looking for a Unique Wedding Invitations ?

You have to be smart and creative in doing things to avoid stress especially if you are press for time.

We're late again !

It's Sunday and we are late again for church ! Why is it that every time we go to church no matter how early we started, we are always late. It seldom happened that we arrived in church before the priest walked down the altar. Why is that ?

Why is it that we are always late in things that is important for us but was able to be early on insignificant occasions ? Is it because we don not know how to prioritized things in our life or maybe because we know that GOD is always there to forgive us ?

I think, I just need to exert more effort not to be late again or maybe adjust my watch five minutes earlier ? Hopefully that will work.

Accessorize this Summer

It's summer time again here in Washington State. Do you know that here in Washington we only have three months of sunshine in a year ? Three months of sunshine and the rest is the gloomy and rainy days. That is why people here really plan to have a great summer. This summer my family and a group of other families are heading to Lake Chelan to have a good summer outing. Speaking of outing, it's also time to get ready your summer gears. Number one on my list is my sun glasses. I can't stand long outside without it as it hurts my eyes and later on getting a migraine. Of course it's one way of protecting your face as well.

Before that summer outing comes, I need to asked my husband to buy another sun glasses for me, as the one I have now has lots of scratches. It is already screaming for replacement. Found some cool designer items at fox sunglasses online. Their prices are very reasonable that would not hurt your wallet so much.

Wearing sun glasses and sunblock is a must while enjoying summer at the beach, pool or the lake. Enjoy the summer !

Mommy, can I see some birds in the backyard ?

"Mommy, can I go to the backyard and see some birds ?" This is the phrase you would hear almost everyday from my daughter. She would put her Dads binoculars in her neck and headed at our backyard and try to catch a glimpse of flying birds. One day, we went for a walk with her Dad at the back of our community where there is a greenbelt area. On our way, we were able to see a humming bird ! She was ecstatic and dumbfounded to see it closely that she doesn't want to move so she does not disturb the bird ! This amazing tiny creatures are beautiful with their colorful feathers and sweet voice.

But do you know that Hummingbirds migrate every season from one place to the other ? Usually they start their migration as early as January and head back before the winter season begun or rather when all the insects and bugs are all gone. This facts even surprise me, that Hummingbirds migrate by batch in case the first batch does not survive because of the bad weather, at least there is some species left to continue their lineage. Clever isn't it ? There is more, these little birds could fly 500 miles non stop during migration ! Can you imagine that ? that is around 18 to 22 hours of flying. During their trip male hummingbirds goes first before the female followed after 10 days. Why do you think is that ?

So, if you wanted to see these beautiful creatures closely or in your own garden, there are a lot of Hummingbird feeders you can buy online. I was thinking of buying a glass hummingbird feeder as a gift for my daughter this summer. We could hang this in our backyard and she could watch these birds closely. Isn't that awesome ? I'm pretty sure she would love it. She loves animals, plants and flowers and wanted to spend most of the time outside. I guess going to the zoo every summer helped developed her love for nature.

A few days ago, a good friend of ours Eric who works with Microsoft invited us to have lunch with him to their new facility at Microsoft Village in Redmond. I wanted to visit this famous company for quite sometime now, but keep on putting it off. Just curious how big it is and how does it looks like. All the while i thought it is just the same as the rest of the offices around. To my surprise, the facility is more than I could imagine. While driving around to pick up Eric, I was already impressed on how big the compound was, it feels like they occupy the whole Redmond City ! They have a total of 160 something buildings. They have their own post office, library, and other facility a small city should have.

What impressed me most was the "Commons" this is like a mall, where numerous restaurant from different countries covered the entire building. Not only one building, but I guess three of them and one has two stories even. Outside that building, has a beach volleyball and basketball court ! The place was totally insane and crazy !!! You would feel like you are in the mall rather than in the office. The environment was totally relaxed. I was telling our friend Eric that Microsoft was like throwing away so much money. The craziest thing is that, they have refrigerator or rather coolers full of drinks for free everywhere ! You can just grab any drinks you want anytime, anywhere.


After those amazing cafeteria / mall, we headed to their visitor center to check some new gadgets. When you enter the area you would see this giant ball hanging above. Actually it is the map of the world where it indicates the number of emails sent every second. And they said that it is accurate. You would be surprised how many billions of emails sent each second.
Here we are, trying to explore those gadgets and taking a pose with the founder of Microsoft. Can you pin point my husband among them ? Above is my husband taking a pose inside Microsoft store, ended up buying a shirt that says "I'm a PC" and the kids getting their own Microsoft Kids Badge ! It is very cool, kids are so proud of it.

All in all, I was glad that we took the time to visit the place and of course grateful for the invitation from Eric. I was really sweep away, astounding !

Shopping Made Easy !

Moving around the house or walking around the mall is not so easy when you have a growing belly that gets bigger each passing day. I used to love to go to the mall for hours doing shopping or just walking around, but not anymore. I go to the mall for two hours maximum, and I'm done. Walking too much is now a challenge, same so with shopping.

It's a good thing, I could do some of my shopping online. Since this is the time where I need to buy baby furniture for our second baby. All the stuff on my first pregnancy was given away thinking that I would not get pregnant anymore. So, I have to buy everything starting from the basic clothing to car seat and stroller and other baby essentials.

My eyes are drooling looking at those cute baby gears, activity sets, toys, and those adorable baby outfits ! All these baby essentials could be found in Shop Wiki. This shop is so amazing that you could find almost everything here. They even have maternity products; from clothing to pillows and fitness DVD's. They even have reading materials for pregnant women.

Now buying essentials things for the baby has been made easy by shopping online. It saved me time and walking around the mall and of course it save me money !

Special Surprise for Fathers Day !

I have been scanning my brain out for the perfect gift this Fathers Day. It had been our ritual to give gifts in almost every occasion, no matter how simple it is. My hubby and I love to give surprises to each other in every circumstances in our life. Now that we are a family, Fathers Day is one of the most awaited event for him, because he knows that we will have something in store for him. Sometimes, it is quite difficult to come up with special ideas especially if he almost got everything that you can think of.

My husband was recently hooked into online shopping of signature watches I don't know why, but a couple of months ago he purchased watches almost every month, until I asked him to stop. But it does not stop him from checking the websites for new models and arrivals. So this time, I wanted to surprised him by giving him a watch. This would be a surprised because as far as he knows he would not be getting anymore watches for the rest of his life! I wanted to contribute some watches for his collection too. Who said that having a house is all fun and happiness ? Wait 'till you settled in a few days or maybe weeks later. You will feel that household chores never ends....you always have to do a lot of things..as if it never ends. But of course, it is fulfilling too, knowing that you are doing something for your house..a place you could call your own and your own investment in the long run.

Just look at my husband mawing the lawn for the first time in his life ! No matter how difficult nor big it is...he loves doing it because he was doing it for the beautification of his house ! Inspiring isn't it ?


Even Gabz chips in doing the chores too ! or rather making a mess out of it. She loves to go to the backyard, she sometimes even lie down in the grass !

Bottom line is...no matter how exhausting doing never ending chores, you still feel happy and inspired. Because it is your HOME !
