Have you ever watched a Rodeo? We had lived in Texas for almost two years, but never got a chance to watched Rodeo. I always wanted to watched a real Rodeo (which I usually read in pocket books), but seeing a real cowboy is the closer I got when we were in Texas. Texas is very famous with Cowboys, Horses, Big Ranches, Rodeo, Bull Riding and the likes.

But what is a Rodeo? It is a sporting event where contestants show their skills in riding horses, bull riding, roping a cattle and any other ranching activities. But I wanted to watch the real bull riding event. We always saw a cowboy sitting on top of the raging bull trying to hold on for how long as he can! I just can't imagine the excitement if you are watching it in front of you. Especially if you have the action seats, which are along both sides of the rodeo ring.

Interested now to watch a Rodeo event, try to grab a Houston Rodeo Tickets and have the action seats to get the most of your rodeo experience. After the event spectators are treated with a country, hip hop or Latin music by some of the famous artist like Bon Jovi, Miley Cyrus, Hanna Montana, Tim McGraw, Beyonce, etc.

How to make the food to stay fresh?

I was browsing news at Yahoo the other day and came across with this one. A Food Vacuum to make your food stay fresh. Hmmm, I have not though about that? We always bought food that is good for two weeks or more so I don't have to go to the grocery often. At the same time I save a lot of money with that. I always make my weekly menu and grocery list before I headed to the grocery store. I that way, I don't spend so much time thinking what to buy at the same time spending money on the things I don't need.

Food vacuum seems like a good idea, food will not easily get spoiled. I am telling you, we throw a few rotten food from time to time. I just could not help it, me and my husband are not big eater. But I throw a lot of vegetables because they don't last that long. I tried to wrap them in newspaper to make it last but it is not working!

Maybe the next time I go out, I have to check how much this food vacuum cost. This might be worth buying. How do you make your food stay fresh anyway? Any tips for me?

Yesterday I asked my husband if we could have dinner outside because I felt so tired to cook. I have been juggling my daughter to school with my 5 months old in tow and doing errands the whole day. A Bugsy weekend!

Valentines weekend, we went to downtown Seattle to treat Gabz to Seattle Bugs Safari. When you heard of Safari, your first impression is that it is huge and lots of bugs. Unfortunately, the said Bug Safari was just a small room that contains around 10 glass boxes with Centipedes, Tarantulas, cockroaches, Beetles, etc.

All in all, it was very disappointing. We spent the rest of hours walking along the street of Pike Market. I ended up buying a lot of flowers, both fresh and dried.

Hubby was not so happy with the parking fee, it was so expensive :-(

I got these free adorable sippy cups from Tommee Tippee last Tuesday February 9, 2010. The moment I opened the box my daughter exclaimed " Those are very pretty cups Mommy! Are those mines?" It is very pretty indeed. My daughter loves the colors, the butterfly and frog designs on it. What I love most on these cups is the cover. Just flip the cover and it perfectly fits on the hole opposite on it. The hole is designed to secure the cover while your little ones drink on the cup. The cover does not interfere on the face nor are you always looking for the missing cover. Another thing I love about this product is that, no matter how many times my daughter drop or throw the cup it does not spill. The water just flow easily from the cup. Not so much sucking and effort necessary from your little one when drinking from the cup. My daughter love it and used these lovely cups from Tommee Tippee all the time.

2. Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Bottle

This is another product from Tommee Tippee, a baby bottle for 0 to 6 months. My first impression when I opened this bottle is that, it is unique. The body has a shape for easy hold and the rim and nipple is wide. But when I washed the product and tried to put it back together, the bottle nipple keeps going through the lid every time I pulled it to make sure that it is in place. I think it is because the bottle nipple is very soft. When Andi was using it, she keeps playing on the nipple because it was so soft, and when she accidentally press the side of the nipple (beside the rim cover) milk spilled onto her. I seldom used it since then.

Of course you wanted to check out the list to make sure that you got what the baby needs. But going through different website is quite a hassle right? BIG SISTER IS SICK :-(

We went to the doctor this afternoon because Gabz has been sick for a while. She has cough and colds for more than a week now and has low running fever since Thursday. I was quite concerned and thinking that she might have an infection. Off we go to the doctor with baby Andi in tow, and it was a viral flu. Her pediatrician asked me to start using Albuterol again (she has been using that ever since she was one year old) to loosen her cough and wheezing. A prescription of antibiotic too! When we were at the pharmacy, the pharmacist told me that they received a lot of antibiotic prescriptions for kids today. I am not so sure if this is because of the weather that is going crazy or there is a virus that is going around.

Everybody knows how difficult it is when your kids is sick and you have a four months old baby. Andi has been coughing a little bit, but I am hoping that it will just go away soon.

Have been using humidifier all day and night. It helps a little bit.

Hope this cough and colds will go away soon. Gabz has been missing school and all she did was to lay down at the couch and watched TV. My poor babies :-(

Valentines Day is something we look forward to every year, especially during boyfriend / girlfriend stage. We love to surprised our partners on this special day. Birthday Present

I was surprised to received a package from Amazon yesterday. I thought it was another extra things that my hubsand bought from Amazon. But then I wondered why it was adressed for me?

When I opened it, it contains books! Read the message and it came from my brother in law who resides in Australia. He sent these books as my birthday present. I was glad, because books always makes me smile. My husband knows that, everytime I am upset or down, he simply buy me books to lift my spirit.

My brother in law was the one who told me about the book "Born in a blue day" by Daniel Tamett. As I was going through with these books I could say that they are all good read. These are all true stories, a memoir of an individual.

My reading schedule become scarce now a days, but could still find time to read a few pages before the day ends.

This is one of the best book I have read. I love books in general, fiction, true story even recipe book! Book is my way of escaping my every day routine, this is the only place where I could be in a different world, inside the book I am reading.

Born on a blue day is a memoir of Daniel Tamett, an autistic savant who later on in life diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. This book will tell you how he was able to become a person he is now. How he struggle, persevere and become successful throughout his life and career. He used his abilities and skills to encourage and let people know how an autistic person could still live a normal life.

With his abilities, he was able to create his own language called Manti. He can learn a new language in just a week and could speak them like a local. Tammet also holds the European record for reciting pi from memory to 22,514 digits in five hours and nine minutes.

Born on a blue day was a New York Times bestseller and named "Best Book for Young Adults". This is a very inspiring book and very much recommended if you know someone who is autistic. This will definitely help you understand the person better. I learned a lot from this book.

Nick Jr. - Team Umizoomi

My four year old was screaming this morning asking me if she could watch Umizoomi. What is Umizoomi? She said, "Mommy, it's in Nick Jr!" Whew! sometimes it is hard to keep up with what your toddler learns everyday.

I went to Nick Jr. and there is Umizoomi indeed. This morning we watched in the TV Team Umizoomi for the first time. I wanted to see what the program is all about to make sure that it is suitable for my daughter. If Dora is good, this is too! Team Umizoomi teaches kids shapes, and especially Math. This morning their show is about Dinosaurs, shapes and numbers. This is Gabz new favorite show. She could watch it over and over.

On Nick Jr. website they also gives tips on how parents could boost their child Math powers through daily activities. I learned a lot of tips from them. They also have suggested activities, crafts and games!

2010 Homebuyer Tax Credit

The Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act of 2009 has extended the tax credit up to $8000 for qualified first time home owners. If you have purchased your first home between January to December of 2009, you could be qualified for the homebuyer tax credit. If you are still planning to buy a house this 2010, make sure that you have a signed contract by April 30, 2010 and complete the home purchasing process by June 30, 2010 for you to be able to qualify for the home buyer tax credit.

Take note of these key points:

1. First time home buyer are those who have not owned a home for the last three years.

2. Income limits of $125,000 for individuals and $225,000 for married couples filing jointly apply to all sales occurring after Nov. 6, 2009.

3. Homeowners who had lived in their current home for five consecutive years out of eight years can received up to $6,500 tax credits.

If you have plans in buying a home, act now before April 30, 2010! First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit is a big bonus for all of us. This is a lot of money which could be used to pay your bills, mortgage of your car or buy furniture for your new house. I had a hot stone massage

Hubby surprised me with an early appointment at a massage center. I had a hot stone massage on my birthday! He made a 120 minutes massage reservation for me at Bellevue Massage center. Oh, I love massage a lot! But it was my first time to have a hot stone massage. I loved the traditional Swedish massage though. But it was good to try something different.

Beside the massage, I had a manicure and pedicure with foot spa as well. Hmm, my day feels so much better and it feels so good :-) I felt like I was dreaming, it has been a long time since I pampered myself like this. Only in Philippines I could do things like these. It was my birthday indeed and I was so happy!
